I began attending church at a young age and have fond memories of learning bible stories, making crafts, attending VBS, making friends at church and simply having fun. Looking back I am thankful for all the teachers and fellowship group leaders who poured into me, believed in me, and shared about God's love to me through their lessons and through their lives, though I was a bit of a shy and mischievous kid at times. I believe God was preparing the soil of my heart to receive him through all the time, energy, patience, and love extended to me by the church family. It wasn't until high school that I accepted Christ into my heart at a high school summer camp at Forest Home. I was moved by God's great love for me that I felt that I needed to surrender my life to him and ask him to be my Lord and Savior. I remember after that decision, things like praying, praise singing, reading the bible, serving, and going to church became much more exciting to me and it became something I wanted to do, rather than something I had to do. I was amazed that I could have a personal relationship with the God of the universe!

From then on, I was eager to serve in any capacity that was entrusted to me. I was part of the student core leadership team in the high school ministry and later in the college group too. I grew a lot in college, participating and serving in various leadership roles in the Asian American Christian Fellowship group on campus. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside in the Spring of 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Near the end of my studies there, I felt God was calling me to full-time ministry and to minister to youth instead. I was a bit fearful and reluctant at first, but after a period of prayer, discernment, and seeking counsel from others, my only response was to trust and obey. I enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary and graduated 4 years later with a Master of Divinity with a Youth Ministry emphasis. During my time at Fuller, I served an internship at Faith Grace Chinese Evangelical Church, working with junior highers and high schoolers and then another internship at ATLPC as a college intern. In September of 2003, I began serving full-time as the Minister of Students at ATLPC. In the Spring of 2007, I was ordained at ATLPC as the Associate Pastor, with a primary focus over youth and young adults. As I reflect upon the journey I’ve been on, the highs, lows, and challenges, I am amazed at how God has been so gracious, faithful and sovereign! He has guided me through so much and has truly blessed me in so many ways! He is truly awesome, amazing, and faithful!

Besides enjoying food, watching movies, playing sports, being out in nature and just hanging out with friends, I love working with the youth and seeing them discover and deepen their love for Jesus Christ, their only true Lord and Savior. The youth of today face so many distractions, struggles, temptations, and they need to know that there is a God who loves them just as they are and desires to walk with them through the difficulties of their lives. My desire is to lead and point them to the hope we all have in Christ Jesus. I've been so blessed by his love and grace, especially during my years as a youth that I want to pour back into the youth. Ultimately though, it is Christ’s love for me that compels me to do what I do.
